Dear Community Partners,
Each April, we come together to recognize Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness and reaffirm our shared commitment to keeping children safe. It is a chance to refocus on providing every child with an opportunity to succeed in a safe, stable, and nurturing environment.
Thanks to your incredible support, this year we:
We are grateful to our community partners for their participation in all the April activities, including a great turnout at our April 9th event. We proudly congratulate our Family Support Champion Award winners from that event – Sara Shockley, Family Support Specialist with the Healthy Start Coalition of Hillsborough County, and Stacey Francois, Director of Programs, Initiatives and Education with the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County.
In April, we also held a board workshop to strategically plan future investments to more effectively meet the needs of our community. We appreciate the feedback we received during the public comment portion of the meeting and from the earlier provider survey. We will continue to seek suggestions from our stakeholders and listen closely to their concerns, and their insights will help guide our efforts to continue to improve and streamline the work of the Children’s Board.
Thank you for everything you do to protect and uplift children and families, not just in April, but all year long.
With gratitude
