Free
CATS 101—an online training where you’ll learn everything you need to know about our Children’s Board Analytical Tracking System (CATS).

This training is optional for new CATS Users. As soon as you receive your CATS login we encourage you to learn from your agency’s trained CATS team, explore the CATS video library to learn how to use CATS, and if needed, attend the Quarterly CATS 101 training provided by the Children’s Board Research team.

During the online training, a member of the Children’s Board Research team will demonstrate the following and answer your CATS questions.

Getting Started in CATS — How to log into the CATS system and get started.

Tool Bar Tools — Looking at the main horizontal menu, as well as the felt side vertical menus and functions

Adding a Participant to a Program — How to create and edit the demopgraphic fields associated with your participants – Adult, Minor Child, Teen Parent, or Professional

Attaching a Participant to a Program– Getting deeper into the process of adding your outcome data using the outcome forms and fields.

Viewing Matrix Results– CATS dynamically computes your matrix results, and this section explains how to view the analysis or your program data.

Data Exporter–We will go thru some visual examples to illustrate how these work.

Importing Data– CATS supports the use of spreadsheets for data importing, and this section covers how the import system works.

Exporting Data– Even if you don’t use spreadsheets for data entry, you can still use CATS to export your data in an xlsx format. This is very important as an off system backup of your data.

Quarterly Report Submission Process– How to add your narratives and submit the quarterly report.

Importing Auto correction and Logging – CATS has the ability to help you identify and correct mistakes coming from the XLSX spreadsheets.

Super Scanner — CATS now has the ability to scan all your records for missing data, mistakes, and other conditions. Using the Super Scanner can help you increase the quality of your submitted data.
